*Note this article was written in sections, both before my trip and after, which is why there are discrepancies throughout in terms of verb tense and the difference between what I had planned and what really happened.*

When learning a new skill, we often want to keep up with our goals or practice various skills to stay on track. I’ve written before about how life happens and you may need to take a break or adapt.

However, sometimes you can plan for an upcoming potential obstacle. Keeping these plans flexible and having backup plans are crucial in case life decides to not go your way. And yet, life may still throw you for a loop.

I was traveling the second week of April, which is exciting, but I also wanted to make sure that I still hit a number of my various professional and personal goals within reason.

My art goals/ plans are detailed below, written before my trip took place, followed by the reality of what happened and my lessons learned.
